Christmas Lists

Okay, it may be a bit early, but Hudson has been giving us Christmas lists since early August. The first one this year had a "real" motorcycle and a "real" 4-wheeler (in addition to a dog and a horse). This weeks snow storm really put him over the edge and it reminded me of last year when he gave me his list.

Me: Hudson, what is this?

Hudson: My christmas list, I drew a picture of that truck that I can drive (it was a Cadillac Escalade Power Wheels car we saw at Toys R Us).

Me: You don't want anything else?

Hudson: I don't want to give Santa a choice.

Me: Oh, well the rule is: You have to make a list of ten things and Santa chooses one or two to give you.

Hudson: Oh (taking the list back).

A little later Hudson came and handed me the list.

Hudson: I asked for ten things like you said.

Me: (looking at the drawings) what are these pictures of?

Hudson: A black truck I can drive, a red truck I can drive, a blue truck I can drive, an orange truck I can drive, a yellow truck I can drive, a green....

Sure enough, the kid had asked for ten things.
