We actually bought an Amharic phrase book several months ago, but it has so much information I think this will be great for at least the first few weeks! Yipee!

Amharic Phrases
I found this fabulous web site that has an easy to use reference for Amharic. It was actually compiled by another adoption agency and their adoptive parents. I'm so excited!!! I tried it again and it is the right link. Are you sure you typed it exactly right? I don't know how to link it right from my blog page, do you?
I had to take off the pdf attachment, go to the website and then open the PDF myself- it worked though- I guess you just have to be a computer genius to figure it out... MEl- feel free to call me and I will assist you. It is an awsome resource although I didn't find the phrase "favorite aunt"...hmm...
Sorry, Boyd informed me last night that I needed to take off the pdf as well. As for favorite aunt...the closest I could find is good aunt. teru ahkest
Better aunt is yeu teu shal leu ahkest. Whomever can pronounce it correctly first is by default the better aunt!

um...excuse me... favorite and closest are not the same. I think I will be the favorite as long as I am away because they know when I roll into town it is a non-stop party. Just ask Boyd- I heard he's on the plannng commitee. I yeu teu shal leu ahkest.
